Clopay Building Products, a manufacturer of overhead doors for residential and commercial applications, partnered with dealer Cox Door Co. in Indian Trail, N.C., to install a Canyon Ridge Collection garage door as part of a whole-house renovation project on “For Your Home,” a national home and garden television series on PBS. The renovation was a part of episode 2906, called “Exterior Touches.”
This season, design expert and show host Vicki Payne is sharing the ups and downs of remodeling her Charlotte, N.C., home, which was built in 1979. The home’s exterior is getting new doors, windows, shutters, and architectural molding.
Payne selected a Clopay Canyon Ridge Collection faux-wood carriage house door for the garage. She opted for a composite door that looks like wood and can be stained like wood but won’t rot, warp or crack to avoid the hassle of ongoing maintenance, Clopay representatives said in a press release. The door will operate with a LiftMaster Model 8550 opener with MyQ technology.
“For Your Home” airs on PBS stations nationwide. The “Exterior Touches” episode can also be viewed online on the “For Your Home” website.
