Who’s Hiring? Restaurants, Mortgage Servicers, Health Centers

Contrary to popular opinion, many businesses and sectors are hiring right now, chief among them restaurants, mortgage servicers and health centers.

Another good sign for the job market is that the number of online job postings swelled to 3.37 million in May, 250,000 more postings than in April.

Many economists still predict that the job market will be tough going well into 2010 or 2011, when a full recovery is present enough that employers will start expanding their workforces.

Currently, about 13.7 million unemployed people are competing for about 2.5 million openings.
